Sabile`s Winehill
Sabile’s symbol is a Wine Hill. There is a bunch of grapes in town’s blazon as well. History of the wine garden in Sabile started in 14th century and still continues in these days. Wine Hill has been recorded in The Guinness World Record book as the most northest open-air vineyard in the world.
The hight of the Wine Hill is 33,7m (about 115m above the sea level). The total area of the vineyard is 1,5ha. There are about 650 vines of 25 different sorts.
Since 1999 at Sabile there’s going on Wine festival (town`s festival) every year on the last weekend of July. At this year it’s takes place on 29th – 31th of July.
This is an unique hill, unique wine and unique festival that is need to be visited!

Sabile`s Castle mound
Castle mound discovers beautiful and picturesque view to Sabile, Pedvāle and the banks of Abava river. There you can relax and take a fresh air of Sabile.
Archeologists found out, that this castle was inhabited at 10th till 13th century. To the North-East from the Castle Mound was located an ancient town, approximately 1-hectare, the opposite way of Sabile in nowdays. There were found ancient buildings, fireplaces, kilns – more than 1200 antiquities, which gave evidence about ancient inhabitants’ occupations.
Lutheran church
Lutheran church was built in 1567, but first it was built without a steeple. Only after 100 years the steeple had been built – this was a typical feature of Kurzems’ churches.
The church is unique because it is Protected Cultural Monument of Latvia, so as the organ (1859), pulpit (1676), bell (1450), two lanterns of ceiling (1680) and candlesticks of silver (1692).
There is unique bell molten in 1450 and preserved by the curch. It is the oldest molten bell in Latvia.
The treasure of the interior is the pulpit that has survived from the original 17th century furniture set in the style of Mannerism, and it is the oldest interior piece of Lutheran churches in Latvia.
Under the church there have been two underpasses.
Gun of the 17th century
During the Duke Jakob in the 17th century duchy of Kurland was very armed. All ships, states and towns were equipped with cannons. At that time in Kurland were about 1800 cannons, but nowdays there are only 43 left.
And one of them is located there in Sabile, on the pedestrian road at Talsi street 1/7.
Family Vault of Brinken
This chapel was built in 1780 in honors to the baron Brinkens and his wife. When the chapel once had been opened, there were found ashes of the baroness and small shoes from leather. There is a legend that under the chapel is real catacomb with many treasures.
Waterfall on Abava river “Abavas rumba”
Height of waterfall is about 2 m, width – 35 m. Abava is the 7th lingest river in Latvia – 129km. Erlier there were children christen in Abava because people thought this river was sacred. This is a beautilfu place where can take a rest and listen to the splash of waterfall. In springtime the speed of the stream is about 3m/s, and it looks like huge rapid.

Remains of Sventes mill 
Watermill worked there in the first part of the 20th century, but nowdays there are only remains. Now there is a cable-way across Abava river. It is called airy-tram too. Erlier it was used to get flour across Abava. But now it’s an exciting place for tourists.

Collection Site “Socks’ bar” 
This is very original private collection, where you can see many different and interesting things as socks, buttons, toys, tools, neckties, children’s drawings, funny stories, anecdotes and more other. The owner of this collection will tell about this collection with enthusiasm. There also can taste owner’s handmade wine.

Craftsmen Centre 
There you can see exhibitions af many beautiful stitchcfaft made by local craftsmen – coverlets, pillows, gloves, socks, tidies, scarves. Also you can came and ask questions about many kinds of fancyworks like crochet, knitting, embroidery.

Contemporary Art and Culture Heritage 
Centre “Synagogue”
It is situated in the former Jewish synagogue. This sinagogue was built in 1890. At that time there was big community of Jewish in Sabile. The synagogue was used for its purpose till the World War 2 when the genocide to the Jews occoured. There were shot 240 Jews in 1941. After that there were only few Jews, so the synagogue was used as sport hall, but later it was empty. The synagogue was reconstructed in 2002 as a place for exhibitions, concerts, and other events.

Open-air Art Museum at Pedvale
Open-air Art Museum at Pedvale is located on the left bank of Abava river. In 1992 sculptor Ojārs Feldbergs in Firkspedvāle and Briņķpedvāle manor surroundings started creation of the open-air art museum. There are several walking paths for art and nature admirers. There are happening symposiums, creative workshops, exhibitions, performances, concerts, performances, concerts and other art events which are gathering many people from Latvia and foreign countires. This name Pedvāle is known from the 13th century.

The Garden of Dolls
Near the Winehill in a little squere there stands many dolls made from straw. 
At this Garden you can see more than 200 dolls,
dressed in different kind of styles like singers, policemen, sportsmen, families and many others.
You can visit this Garden every day.

Gallow’s Hill 
Near the Castle Mound of Sabile, there is a hill. It’s specific pointed peak is straitened above the town. There has been a cult place of the ancient Kurchi in the past. About in feudal system of 10th century this place was used as sanction’s place for rebellious farmers, and there had been built gallows to punish them.
At Wine Festival there’s going on an unique performance – “Fire Sculpture”.
Jeweler’s Studio
Ancient latvian ornaments are important evidence of history. Ancient latvian believed that to speak highly to gods can through the ornaments too. 
One of that kind of mastermind lives in Sabile, who makes these ancient ornaments. Harijs Jaunzems is certificated mastermind and hi makes his ornaments based on archeological excavations and ancient literature about history. Hi imitates ornaments of ancient Iron Age, hummers our sacred symbols in bronze. His ornaments have promoted the sence of latvian culture and history. The identification of Sabile is promote by these ornaments too, because they are take away to many countries as precious treasures.

Private collection of wooden toys of which its creator says: “This collection is dedicated to all living beings we humans have killed or tortured to satisfy our amenities, welfare, appetite and greed… As if this world belonged only to us…”

Nature Park “Ancient Valley of Abava” 
The Nature Park has been created at Abava valley – an ancient valley formed by the melting glaciers un Latvia. The valley is about 15 000 ha. This is an area with fantastic landscapes of river of valley, landscapes of meadows and slopes. The ancient valley features specific relief forms – steep coasts, dolomite exposures, springs of terrace coast slopes. Here is large geobotanical diversity of meadows – more than 50 protected plant species, as well as great diversity of natural habitats. To protect this valley, in 1998 this valley was included into 100 endangered cultural objects. This valley includes historical part of town Kandava, district of Matkule, district of Abava and Ģibuļi, and district of Renda and Sabile.
Abava valley like other valleys of river in Latvia is very rich in different plant species that are characteric of the Western part of Latvia. Mosaic of broad-leaved trees, pine and birch forests, juniper stands, meadows and fields is very typical of the valley.
This district is rich with deep glens, pinewoods. That is way this place is good as resting place for people who suffer from lungs’ deceases – there are no stagnant water and bogs.
